Truba Group of Institutes organised a cultural program in collaboration with The Society for the
Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), on 28th October
2017.

The event initiated with traditional flair of “lamp lighting” . The presence of Shri Shyam Rathor (Member
BOG ), Shri Sunil Dandir, Director Dr. RajeevArya, Principal Dr. H.S. Chandeland, Dr. Nilesh Diwakar
and all faculties and staff of the TRUBA Institute added more colours to the event.

The program continued with performance of traditional Manganiar music and dance of Rajasthan by
ROJE KHAN & TROUPE. The tunes of traditional Rajasthani music performed by Roje Khan Manganiar
and his group of artists made the audience feel a different phase of music. Use of various other
traditional instruements like the Kamayacha, Khadtal, Dholakand Shehnai, created an aura of
enchantment. The musicians were accompanied by two talented dancers who performed Kalbeliya
dance and also Bhawaidance, where the artists dances with 11 pots on her head. There were more
performances in which they dance while standing atop plates, glasses and swords, and Terahralidance
where the dancer wore 13 pairs of `manjiras’ and performed in sync with the fast paced music with a
`pooja-thali’ on her head.
